Jonatan Opasiak, or J.Op for short, is one half of Malmö duo Woobanger and when it was time for 123REC019, he delivered a stunningly deep two tracker. Let's concentrate on the b-side for now, the trance inducing "Mandeville Waltz". Heavy, thumping it gets the job done, and then some. Play this one, and play it loud.

About:

Another debut to take place on 12-3, this one is bound to be the stuff of legend. Brendand Witherspoon, aka Spoonz has that raw talent we're always looking for. Once we discovered this fella, we moved hyper-fast. Being a DJ, producer and a cool guy with a healthy disrespect towards genre and a deep, deep love for house music, it makes him the top prospect in our 2012 draft.

Spoonz combines styles and flavour without ever loosing focus of the dancefloor, be it classic house grooves or mega garage vibes, it's all made with impressive focus and real musicality. Being able to combine that rather rare skill set with the capability to constantly surprise us in his productions, this is one of those DJ:s that just fits our mentality perfectly.

With a big smile and a round of applause we welcome Spoonz to 12-3, it feels just about right to salute Brendan Witherspoon as a true craftsman of excellent dance music. Expect more magic in the future.

One from the 12-3 Vaults: Alca Pwnd - Metabolic Boost

Alca Pwnd, aka Jerry Nellert, longtime Stockholm-based DJ/producer-genious released his first EP on 12-3 as we reached catalogue number 11.

Metabolic Boost was the B-side of this two track EP, but without any doubt the most popular track of this release. A carnevalesque, super tightly produced house track that later ended up being a full out remix-ep.

This is bigroom-feeling and compact house at the same time, the very reason why we like these Alca Pwnd-productions so much.

Trailer time folks'! This week Andy is on vacation and next week I'm going on vacation so we'll have a little production break. But don't fret! We got lot's of stuff in the pipline to make you boogie, and here is a little taste, both original tracks and remixes. Second release from Mr. and Mrs. 12-3 is a two track affair. A-side "Voodoo" is a darkly suggestive and haunting piece of music and B-side "Hey!" is... well, the total opposite. Happy, cheerful and incredibly groovy. If your hips don't move to this, it's most likely because your laying on a morticians table. And I dare you to find a better use of a sax sample.

About:

Some know them as Stockholm's happiest DJ-duo, others as Kasper and Andy, they have been described as the house game Batman and Robin (we'll let them argue about who's who) and they're back with four happy tracks, late summer-vibes and that delicious Orphans STHLM-groove we all adore.

A-side Let You Go is a mixtape favourite, a perfect match in any set. Follow up Floored has been hyped since early june, and the tracks to follow explore a more disco side of the boys musical minds.

All of the tracks crafted in the legendary Orphans STHLM studio/gaming-room, where musical creativity and intense beat 'em up-sessions merges in a cosmic symbiosis. Ingenious indeed - that's how the key to happy house music is forged.

This week, while digging in the 12-3 vaults, let's highlight the very first Orphans STHLM-track to be signed on the label: The Heist.

This rather stripped, punchy disco-tech-house-production contains pretty much all the parts I like about Kasper and Andy. It's bouncy, well laid out, playful and creative. I was so happy to sign this one to the label, little did I know that the two would become one of our most released names.

Still a great track, should be in everybody's crates!
